Adding to the last review I left as a separate review so Google doesn’t auto-suppress for length. One of the realtors from this office, who also pretty much hired herself and provided much of our fill-in about the Hess’s, blew us off. Then, you have the agent from one of their offices in Fort Wayne making stupid controversial comments that was aired on the local news. So, I’m now using another realtor and not inclined to accept any offer from this group if/when we potentially put our house up for sale and they show our house. (Unfortunately, I was previously informed that I’m legally obligated to allow them to show the house. Remember, Tim & Anita, you broke a federal law regarding the antenna we wanted to install in writing. If you interfere, I can still send the emails to the FCC. It’s a win for you anyway because then maybe you get new neighbors that meet your high standards.)
This review is about Anita and Tim Hess. In no way should this discourage anyone reading this from using another realtor in their office. Not only were they our realtor, but they ended up being our cavalier and entitled acting neighbors. We dealt with Anita, and my husband dealt with a vast majority of the house hunting duties. As a realtor, we felt that we were misled about the power of the HOA being told it was a soft HOA. I also felt the negotiation could have been better as there were problems with this house and a lot of rehabbing that needed to be done. As our neighbors, the problem is namely with Tim, who is also the HOA President, but apparently they ultimately talked to one another bringing Anita on board. I've had an Act I, II, III, and IV with this guy even though I've never met him. Included in this is when he shook hands with four other guys I was standing with including my husband outside the meeting room of our HOA meeting while ignoring me and breaking a federal law in writing by telling me I couldn’t install a TV antenna plus delaying it’s reasonable placement by telling me to ask my neighbors for permission. It was also discrimination since four or five of our neighbors have outdoor antennas. Both of them also gave us gooney looks at a neighbor’s party. I finally got someone outside the neighborhood to talk. Apparently, they have a reputation around Kendallville and are not polite if they feel you are not good enough to be in their inner circle. We also noted when houses go up for sale back here that few people use them. When your neighbors don't use a realtor in their own backyard, that's a pretty bad sign.
