Center for Yoga

I have known Joan for years now, mostly through virtual classes (since I live in NJ), but finally met her last summer at a retreat in Costa Rica. I was on the west coast for work last week, and was able to join a class at Center for Yoga. The space was beautiful and Joan is always a pleasure to see. I cannot speak highly enough about her level of expertise and professionalism. In a world where we have so many choices and so little time, I make it a point to participate in her offerings any chance I get because it feels like a gift each time and the benefits spill over into many areas of my day/life. I am honored to be a part of her student base. Namaste!

I've gone to Ashley’s 5pm Wednesday class several times, and find her energy to be calming. She has a kind aura and provides reflective thoughts throughout the practice. I loved that she dimmed the lights during the last 15 minutes of the most recent class, this helped me relax further and go deeper. I definitely recommend that beginners and intermediate levels join her 1/2 class - see ya'll there :-)

I've only taken 1 class here so far, but I will definitely be coming back. I've been trying out a bunch of different yoga studios in the area, and this one is probably my favorite. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, didn't make me feel awkward or out of place at all (unlike some other spots in the area that I won't mention...). I was given a little tour of the facility upon arrival, and they told me it's the oldest yoga studio in LA, which is really cool. They have a little library of yogi literature, and free purified water (bring your own bottle!). The class itself was the perfect mix of relaxing and challenging. I took CFY 1. The instructor gave very detailed instructions as well as variations for all levels. She also asked us at the start of class if we wanted to focus on any particular areas that may be more sore or tight, which I appreciated. I felt great after class. Can't wait to be back!

This studio and yoga community is so special. Every class is different and every instructor is wonderful and has something amazing to offer.

Bianca's class this morning was fabulous! Definitely a must for all levels of yogis. It was sneakily challenging (in a good way) and she gave lots of variations for different levels. It was a great vibe and I felt great afterwards. Looking forward to the next one.
