Sometimes you get to a town as lunch is ending and you have limited choices. That was the case in Cuenca today. But we got lucky! Marlo is a simple place with good food and great service. And we got to try two things we’ve never eaten before. First was morteruelo. A local dish that is made of different types of game and pork with a healthy dose of cinnamon and other seasoning. It’s like a soupy pulled pork and goes great with bread. The solomillo was good as was the tomato salad. For dessert we were gifted a tarjita (?). Basically a sugar and almond crisp roughly in the the shape of a taco shell. Delicious!!
Extraordinary restaurant, excellent food quality, original recipes, the lamb and the deserts were awesome. Very attentive staff, we booked the round table in as separate space for 7 people and had a great time!
We were lost trying to find somewhere to eat at nearly 4PM. They kindly let us order.
Food was tasty and authentic. Service was kind and attentive. Ambience was quiet but charming. But mostly, once again, the food was amazing.

Fantastic tapas. Great manita's dices, morcilla bombón, low-temperature cooked egg, and tasty Gua Bao. I have to come back to taste some more!

The patilla de cordeiro is amazing! You need to try it. The service is awesome, the best that I had in Spain
