British Swim School of PS27 Jersey City Heights

My daughter has been enrolled at British swim school since she was 6 months old. She’s now two and is extremely comfortable with water (parents, yes she loves baths & showers too!) the beauty of the school is it’s perfect for all ages at any swim level. We’ve been to all of the British swim school facilities, but follow one instructor in particular: Chiara. She’s extremely professional, caring and shows true interest to the overall growth of my child. As for the physical place; parking can be a bit tough, and the pool at this location is a bit shallow compared to other locations. All in all the scheduling works perfectly with any hiccups we may have during the week. I suggest anyone and everyone who’s willing to learn how to swim. Join British swim school!

Amazing treatment with my kids. I have no complaints. The instructors are very paciente, they cares with the kids like them own kids. The crew is amazink. Kiara and jair we kbow them for more then a year already. My kid love them.

Great school, my daughter, 8yrs old loves it, and her favorite teacher is Eli... he's the best instructor, he loves the kids and an awesome teacher. my daughter feels comfortable, and safe with him. Thank you BSS.

We really love the classes. My son Noah is going to this swim school since he was 15 months and he enjoys and feel safe with his instructor. They have Very good instructors especially ms Chiara who was Noah’s first instructor and Mr Moise who is his current instructor. They pay close attention to the areas that needed improvement and give the correct feedback.

My 2 year old was afraid of water and submerging her head. So lured by the good reviews I enrolled her here and she went for almost 6 months. Except for Chiara, none of the instructors have any clue - what works with stubborn toddlers. Their lessons are pretty unimaginative and rigid in structure, and the instructors have no interest in trying other ways to make sure the student is learning and moving to the next level. There are novice instructors coming in every month, my daughter didn't get any chance to stick to one instructor she could trust. Bathrooms, changing rooms are dirty and not cleaned often. Pool staff is good. I pulled my daughter out after a particularly nasty experience with a novice trainer who refused to let her do what she needed to do to be comfortable in water first (play with some toys). If you want to enroll a toddler who is afraid of water and strangers, I would skip this place. Also Chiara is no longer teaching, she got promoted.
