British Swim School of Hyatt House - Shadyside

My daughter attended the Tadpole (beginner) level classes here. The swimming pool is a small one and there are only 3-4 children per instructor, which provides an involved experience. My daughter had a fun time with the songs and water activities. The pricing is also cheap compared to the other schools I looked up. I am happy with the service and would definitely recommend British swimming school.

I took my nine month old son here for swim lessons, and he loved it! The class sizes were super small, and his teacher was the best. She provided such individualized care for each child and offered great suggestions to the parents. Would highly recommend!

Class sizes are super small. Pool is warm. Ms Heather, the swim instructor for Minnows is kind, patient yet firm and makes sure everyone is safe, feels comfortable in the water and progresses at their own pace.

We have been really happy with our experience with British Swim School at Hyatt House in Bloomfield/Shadyside. It's super easy to get to, the instructors are all very friendly, and we feel like the cost is right for the service. Cannot say enough about all the instructors--we've had a handful and they're all super patient, kind, and great with the kids (as our daughter has thrown a fit or twelve).

The night before my son’s first class, I realized he was extremely anxious due to a previous incident where he had been pushed into a pool and nearly drowned. Once we got to the pool it had turned into terror but Cassie and Quinn were so awesome, they encouraged him to just sit on the edge of the pool, splashed him a little, and talked with him about why he was scared and what their jobs as lifeguards are. By the end of the class my son was playing in the water, laughing and smiling. He is so excited to go back and has literally been counting down the days (every week)!
