British Swim School at Westminster Hotel - Livingston

DO NOT PURCHASE. We were recommended to go to the Goldfish swim school for our 1 year old, but ended up purchasing British Swim School as it was the only option with availability (now I know why). Here's several red flags that I hope you can avoid: 1) We signed up for a Sunday class because we are unable to make weekday sessions. I cannot tell you how many times there have been cancellations, which is really disappointing since we looked forward to this once a week. Unfortunately availability is highly geared towards weekday sessions when we cannot go at our most convenient location. 2) Classes are held at a hotel. During our first few sessions, there would randomly be a guest or two in the pool but it wasn't an issue. Today, it was beyond inappropriate for a baby class. As soon as our session began, a slew of rowdy guests came in. Some brought glass cocktails near the edge of the pool, and took inappropriate posing pictures on the swim ladder. Then a crowd of 10+ unsupervised children came into the poo, took our swimming gear, swam directly into us and stayed in our session circle, screaming the entire time. Another hotel guest also joined our private session and was allowed to participate (which was odd). The atmosphere was entirely chaotic causing my son to be distracted the entire time. The most frustrating part was that the British Swim Staff did nothing about it. They just let the unruly environment continue and disrupt our paid session. 3) The entire reason why we signed up for swim school was for our son to gain safety skills in the water. For the price point we have been paying, I feel like the safety aspects have been very minimal. We were really excited by the announcement of survival week and were told we could dress him in normal clothes to simulate a scenario if he ever fell into the pool by himself. Unfortunately, at our weekly session, the survival week focused class never happened. No idea why. We have cancelled our membership, probably won't be able to makeup our 4+ makeup classes during to limited availability...I am just extremely disappointed with this entire experience.
