I’m fairly new to the area and had been looking to find a place that offers yoga classes and meet people with similar interests. A friend of mine suggested that I check out Body & Brain in Lawrence and so I did. Not only does Body & Brain offer yoga classes, they offer so much more such as Tai Chi/Qi Gong, and Bowing meditation classes. They also offer workshops, which I’ve participated in and currently taking a weekly class via Zoom. Sholeh, Barbara and Jasmine are amazing instructors and have such beautiful vibrant energy! I look forward to attending their classes, which always leave me feeling energized and relaxed! I’m so grateful to have found Body & Brain and most of all so thankful to have met such wonderful and beautiful Souls! If you’re looking to connect with like minded people, learn some new ways of movement, find healing and share some laughter, I highly encourage you to visit Body & Brain at Riverwalk in Lawrence, MA. I've taken a couple classes at Body & Brain and it is always a great experience!
The flow/structure of the class is nice with some good movement to get your body warmed up and heart rate up to start, some core work in the middle and guided meditation to close it out.
After class they make a delicious tea and you have the option to sit and reflect on the class and share your experience with everyone. They have a great sense of community here and the owners are so sweet and supportive. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to quiet your mind!
Body & Brain is a fabulous place to take yoga, bowing, relaxation techniques, training your mind and body to relax your soul, they also offer workshops. The staff are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable it’s more than a Yoga class they treat your like family. Highly recommend this gem.
Sholeh and Barbara are the kindest teachers I've ever met. They are so knowledgeable and make sure I am making adjustments to my practice that help me do better without pain. Sholeh checks in on a regular basis to ensure I'm getting the most beneficial results. The place is clean and welcoming and I love how I feel after each session.
Sholeh is the best! No matter how busy or stressful my day is, making time for yoga and tai chi is always worth it. I leave feeling so relaxed, calm and stretched. I also like staying for tea when I can and sharing a bit about my experience with the other yogis. It's an intimate atmosphere, good for beginners / intermediate and yogis of all ages. They have mats to borrow for free if you don't have one. For those who are more advanced, they also have yogi trips and added trainings.
