Blo Blow Dry Bar

Super disappointed in the blow out I had. The woman was new and it was incredibly awkward. I gave her a tip for the nice scalp massage but the actual blow out is flat and weird, no shape or definition to the waves. For “volume” she blew my bangs straight up, which just just making them fall weird on the side of my head now, but didn’t put any volume in the crown of my head. I don’t think they hire professional hair stylists. I also don’t think she used the conditioning treatment listed in my appointment. This place is the equivalent of going to a shady nail salon where you’re being rushed in and rushed out by people who may or may not know what they’re doing.

Always have a great experience here! I have long thick curly hair and my appt requires extra time but Hanna always takes care of me, doesn’t make me feel rushed and does an AMAZING job.

I expected good things based on price. Every curl fell out in 5 minute walk back to apartment even though I’d said yes to product and hairspray. I would have appreciated some warning that it was likely.

If I could give this business 10 stars, I would! I was in NYC for my son's wedding, and I was nervous about doing my hair myself. My daughter-in-law tried them out for a blow out, was satisfied, and I felt confident in going there. From start to finish they were professional and very kind. It was 11:00 am and I was worried about my hair holding for the 4:30 pictures, the 5:00 wedding, and the reception following. They gave me the option of coming back at 2:00, dressed and made up, so that my hair would be all set. I didn't really like that idea, so they devised a way to keep my very fine, somewhat curly aging hair in place. Two women (I'm sorry that I don't remember their names) spent loads of time on me and really seemed to care, and when it was finished, it was gorgeous! Although it was a very windy day and we took pictures outside, my hair stayed in place all day and well into the evening. I got more compliments on my hair than I did on my dress, and I only wish that this salon was closer to my home. I am truly grateful to these hard working women who know their craft and care about their clients. Kudos!
