Ayres Apartments Palermo

No cleaning service for the stay! We had to use the same towels for 5 days and almost got scammed by reception who tried to charge us in USD instead of pesos (without confirming the currency).

These apartments are really BAD. DO NOT BELIEVE THE PHOTOGRAPHS. The sheets had stains on. The imitation wooden floor looked like someone had taken a hammer to it. There were no carpets in the floor and it had a smell. It was that bad we left after 30 minutes and had to pay a US$200 fee. These rooms are worse than bad hostels. We moved to the OWN hotel two blocks away which luckily had rooms available. Only if you like a bad hostel then stay here. Plus it is very very over priced . Bad place

AVOID THIS “Hotel” AT ALL COSTS. The room was unclean with bugs festering in the bathroom. The TV was broken. Room was generally unclean with a stench throughout the room. After contacting the company we were told they couldn’t do anything about the TV or room. After back and forth they agreed to provide a new TV first thing in the morning. After waiting 2 hours we wasted our morning and gave up. 0 customer service or care for guests. We checked out early with no compensation offered.

Initial stay was ok (although nothing super special). Unfortunately they screwed us over with the second booking. Apparently they did not see our cancellation as a cancellation and it cost us 180 euros. I recommend not cancelling your booking on Booking.com, and not to use their own booking system when they ask you to. It is much safer and clearer to just use Booking.com. *Note: It was refundable, I have screenshots of that.

Decent hotel/serviced apartment. The rooms are a little dated and the ones facing the roads are very noisy. However, for the price and location, this is a great stay. Check-in was super easy, staff were friendly and accommodating. There’s an on premise laundry mat, 24/h security, and lots of resto/cafe on the same block. I’d recommend for an overnight stay or a weekend if you’re looking to be central. Not for me longer than that but others may be ok with it.
