AFA has been a game changer for me! When I first joined a few years ago, I wasn't sure what to expect and pretty timid. However, I was immediately welcomed with open arms and treated like family. Jim and Brooke are world-class trainers, mentors, and always uplifting. AFA is filled with people from all walks of life and if you're thinking maybe you wouldn't belong, I promise you do. AFA is absolutely, hands-down the best gym I have ever been a part of and I am so thankful for an environment where I am constantly pushed to be the best version of myself!!

Finding a gym where you feel comfortable and not intimidated as a woman is hard to find, but at AFA I have never felt more at home! The thought of walking into a weightlifting gym always made me nervous as a female -- but that all went away the first day I encountered Jim at Arkansas Fitness & Athletics. I started my fitness journey with him almost 10 years ago, and he has been there for me through every step of the way. I was never a high school athlete, but training here makes me feel like one! Over the years I have discovered my true potential both in and out of the gym, and developed huge love for weightlifting along the way. When I became a mom 6 years ago, AFA was there to support me as both my mind and body adapted to the new demands of motherhood. I could go on and on about how amazing Arkansas Fitness and Athletics is, but what I can say is that it's not just a gym-- it's a FAMILY!
