Since my first child, they have gone down Hill dramatically. The nurses don't even want to help you check in. The doctors don't even get my children's names. Right and he's been going there for 3 years.. My children have been sick for Uber a month and I keep going back. Letting them know my child is sick. Both of them are one of them. Can't even drink her formula because she's so sick. And they keep sending me back home they are horrible. The service is terrible. The doctors are impersonal. And I recommend going somewhere else,we will be.
Everyone is wonderful. My son has been going to the Childrens since birth. We have always been well taken care, very attentive to his needs and always explained everything.
One of the triage nurses at the general pediatric clinic took my son's rectal temperature without my consent or permission. Without introducing herself or anything, she just took him out of my arms and started doing stuff to him without explaining or telling me what she was doing first. I would have declined having that done to him but I wasn't even asked or given the chance to decline. I filled out a complaint on the surveys they send out asking about your experience and was simply told that's their policy and that's the only way they can do it for babies under 6 months. Then why do they do it under the arm at UAMS and Baptist hospitals, even in the NICU where my son just spent 12 days? But that doesn't matter. Even if that is their policy the simple fact is I didn't want that done to my son. I'm an assault survivor and just do not feel comfortable having that done to my son - especially when he isn't sick and it's just a well-child check up. And it absolutely shouldn't have been done without my consent or permission and without explaining or telling me what they were doing first. I feel like they violated my child and I left the appointment feeling very distraught and upset. A simple apology and a promise that it wouldn't happen again and that I would be allowed to decline in the future would have gone a long way and is all I really wanted. You can't just start doing things to people without informed consent. That is wrong and against the law.
If I could give no stars I would. The triage nurse didn’t even know that a lot of newborns have little red blotches on there skin after birth, On top of that my daughter was complete breached, she can’t straighten out her legs yet. It’s gonna take time is what my OB said when he delivered her. But the triage nurse was legit trying to force her legs straight even though they don’t go that way. They can’t go that way. Then the Nurse Practitioner came in and started trying to do stuff to my baby without even telling me what. And when she was done and the visit was over she just left and didn’t even let us know the visit was over. And they left us in the room for over an hour, before a nurse told us we could of left already, highly unprofessional!! Do not take your children here
I wish I didn’t have to give this clinic any stars. They are so unprofessional and don’t know what they’re talking about half the time. I just had an appointment for my daughter that was scheduled 2 months back and they called today and canceled an hour before her appointment. I took off work for this. Then they rescheduled it for a day that I work and can’t take off for. I’ll be finding another doctors office for my kids. They can call you before opening ours, but you can’t call them back until it’s after 7:30.
