Aplomb Martial Arts Prairie Village

This is the first martial arts school our seven-year-old tried and he loves it. Sensei Emily is great with the kiddos. The classes include martial arts training, but also help kids develop coordination, core strength, and problem solving. We definitely recommend signing up for the free course to see if your kiddo likes it.

A good place to build confidence in young kids! The fact that it is conveniently located in the mall setting is a plus for parent to do nails, groceries shopping, or haircut while waiting for the class to end. if you are looking for the serious self defense, this is not the place.

My two children have been doing Kempo here for almost a year and they love it! I love the self control and perseverance they have gained. It's a great program and Sensei Emily is wonderful with my kids!

So thoughtful to all students, down to earth, willing to break down the fundamentals for the kids. I nanny a student and he looks forward to Thursday to come learn! Emily is awesome to Bobby! I recommend Kempo to everyone I know.

My son has been attending classes, and private lessons, at USSD - Prairie Village for some time now. The instructors are all very knowledgeable, caring, attentive, great at working with children, and find a good balance between learning and having fun. My son has gained a lot of confidence through these classes, and takes a lot of pride in progressing. Classes are typically small enough that there is a lot of one on one attention, large enough that there are opportunities to work with others and make friends. Would definitely recommend this for parents who are looking to give their children a positive ongoing experience with martial arts.
