Anytime Fitness

My nephew and I went today for a few minutes and worked out. I appreciate the owner, Ben for allowing us to do so. Highly recommend this place.

Staff signed us up. When we asked for directions on what exercises we needed to do. We were told staff didn't do that. My husband has never worked out in a gym before. I have not used machines etc in at least 20 years. This information was shared with staff. Staff didn't care.

The free weights and machines are too crowded in the front of building. Large lifting area in the mid section of building no one really uses the week I was there. It would Be nice if they use some of that space for the fee weight and machine area. But it was nice to see a fully stocked gym in the middle of almost nowhere. It was kept clean and the staff were polite and attentive.

I currently go here and I really like it, but there are some negatives, and I'm usually one to leave five stars everywhere I go. It needs to be cleaned more often and thoroughly. Once I went three days in a row and the same sunflower seeds were still in the middle of the floor. Paper towels and toilet paper are often out in the bathroom and out on the floor. I don't use the TVs but the elderly are always having issues with them. The clocks haven't been changed in months. And I avoid going in the after school hours because the teen boys are roudy. While I think it's great they aren't out partying, many of them are sitting on equipment but not using them and just walking around watching others workout. There was a group of about 15 just hanging out in the very small front area last time I went at that time and I think only 3 of them were actually working out. I'm not sure if it's true, but I've also heard that they have damaged walls and equipment as well. Overall, I enjoy having a local gym I can go to and I go in the mornings mostly and have made acquaintances with many that go at that time. But I will have to suspend my membership after the year mark due to the cost. $67 is a bit steep for the return value. Edit: went to the tanning rooms yesterday in an attempt to start on my tan before summer starts and both of them are broken. The plastic protecting your skin from the bulbs is literally broken. I was told when I signed up this past year that one of the reasons cost is high on membership is due to the extra amenities so a bit bummed about this as I was looking forward to using them.

I enjoy my gym time. Have everything I need. Great atmosphere and people at the times I work out
