Angels on Call Home Care

HiIt will be a year January 2021 that I will be employed with Angels on Call. My experience with this agency has been nothing but amazing. The Staff is awesome, they are always very accommodating to my needs. I have two clients that I currently provide care for and whom I absolutely love. Being that this is my first Job ever having to care of the elderly, i would say Angels on Call is a absolute pleasure to work for.

I want to start off by saying this company has been absolutely amazing to me. I could not ask to work for a better company during a pandemic and the state the world is in right now. Gloves and masks were provided as needed during the height of COVID-19 and the women in the office were very prompt and diligent about getting me what I needed for my safety and to best take care of the client. This company has been beyond flexible with me during this time period when we are all confused and trying adjust to the new norm. As a college student they worked amazing with my needs when preparing my schedule- such as the times of my work schedule but also the location of the clients homes are within a reasonable distance after classes. The people you work for really have the ability to make or break your work experience, which is why I left my previous job. The girls in the office make my job 10x easier and doable and I can absolutely say I love working for Angels on Call Allentown.

My mother had been receiving daily home assistance from another service which had become quite unsatisfactory. We recently changed to Angels on Call through the Allentown office. My mother is now very happy with the aide that visits and assists her daily. In fact, they seem to have developed a close relationship in a short time. In addition, the Angels on Call Allentown office main contact, Jennifer, is easy to reach, responds to calls promptly, and resolves any concerns. While my mother was hesitant to make this change, fearing the service and assistance might get worse, she now has nothing but good things to say and happy that we changed to Angels on Call.

I had a 70 year old woman with a compromised ankle sent as a caregiver, she could barely make it up a flight of stairs to do laundry or go grocery shopping (and she spent most of the time shopping for her own groceries). She ended up being extremely verbally and emotionally abusive one day to the point that I had to threaten to call the cops in order for her to stop shouting and cussing at me both in 2 public areas and when she was transporting me home in the car. The agency wasn't at all concerned even though I had called 3 times that day scared and sobbing. They pretty much defended her instead of me, their disabled client who was at her mercy. They kept her onboard to send her to other clients as a caregiver. Evidently they don't care about the quality of care their clients receive. That was a few months ago, I'm still dealing with the affects of being being publicly and otherwise verbally and emotionally abused by my "caregiver" that wasn't physically nor mentally capable of the care Angels On Call said they would provide. The next person they sent, wouldn't get out of her car because there was an imaginary invasion of lanternflies all over her car (there wasn't even a house fly outside) and also refused to get my mail from the curbside mailbox because of nonexistent lanternflies. Instead of Angels On Call sending her home they called me and told me to open my garage door and let her park in my garage so she wouldn't be afraid to get out of her car. Evidently they pay no attention nor care who they send to their clients in desperate need of homecare.

I am a client at angel's on call. I must say tbe best decision i ever made was switching to tbis agency. Everyone the staff that I deal with are all very professional very caring and they truly put the client first. They are always there to my every need. They are llike family to me. Very grateful for their efforts When covid-19 hit us angel's on call call frequently to make sure that I was ok and provided ppe like gloves,mask , and sanitizer.
