I've been receiving treatment at The Alaska Brain Center for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for a year. The experience has been exceptional. The staff here is not only highly professional and accommodating but also incredibly kind and considerate. A special mention to Linda, whose thoughtful gesture of putting up a birthday sign made my time during the infusion on my birthday a lot brighter. Her genuine care and support makes my difficult illness easier to bear. I highly recommend them for both their expertise and their compassionate approach to patient care.

I took my wife here for an MRI and the lady was very rude and passive aggressive towards us. I’m not sure if it was because we were 10mins late and we did call ahead of time to let them know we were going to be late or if it was because of our skin color. She was very unprofessional and gave us really nasty looks. Spoke to us like we weren’t able to comprehend simple instructions. This was our second time coming here and may I say it was a terrible experience.

My wife and I both found every aspect of our first visit at the Alaska Brain Center to be a very positive experience. The professionals and supporting staff were all friendly, very courteous and genuinely cared for all our needs. Knowing we traveled a long distance to make our first meeting, three professionals, including Dr Sponsler, adjusted their schedule to accommodate all the tests needed for a thorough, quality evaluation. We would highly recommend Alaska Brain Center!

I started treatment here a few years back Because I was having seizures. I meet with doctor Sponsoler (or however you spell his name) and he prescribed the anti-seizure med Keppra. After about 6 months later of taking the seizure meds my family and I noticed that I started having really bad mood swings. The whole time I was taking it I never had a seizure and when I got back from commercial fishing he prescribed me Lamictal. Then 2 weeks later I developed Steven Johnson syndrome. Afterwards he took me off all seizure meds even though they are more we could have tried. Within that same month I had a seizure and was in the er when the got ahold of doctor Sponsoler. He told the er that I didn't needs. to be on seizure meds and needed to start therapy, which I had been in therapy for the past 6 months. Just today i had another I had 2 seizures. I WOULD NECER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BE TREATED HERE. THE STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. My dad also had s bad experience . You can see his reviews on this place to.

Extremely unprofessional and rude. My brother has frequent, full body seizures in his sleep. The only thing that has helped him has been medication; however, Dr. Sponslor and his team of “licensed” nurses decided he doesn’t need it anymore. They believe my brother is faking his seizures, and/or that they are all psychological and can be fixed by therapy. They say things such as, “Have you tried waking him up?”. Which, obviously we have (spoiler alert, he doesn’t wake up). He has had around 5 or more seizures since being off of medication, and they refuse to put him back on. Do not go to the Alaska Brain Center.
